Buildings and structures must comply with the performance requirements of the BCA. The performance requirements of Volume 2 of the BCA that address structural stability and resistance to actions are contained in P2.1.

In Queensland, the Modern Homes standards included in NCC 2022 will be introduced in a phased approach: The new Modern Homes accessibility standards will be phased in from 1 October 2023. The new Modern Homes energy efficiency standards will commence on 1 May 2024.
