Facade fiberglass meshes are woven fabrics with rectangular cells of fixed sizes. Nets are produced by leno interweaving of glass threads and glass rovings.
Fiberglass meshes are impregnated with a special solution to impart alkali resistance and are used to reinforce plaster compositions in wet-type facade systems.
Mesh is used for reinforcing plaster compositions on the outer surfaces of buildings and structures in facade insulation systems. To comply with the overlap of the reinforcing mesh. Reinforcement with mesh protects against cracking and increases the mechanical strength of the plaster layer.
When reinforcing, it is advised to comply with the following guidelines:
- Facade fiberglass mesh should be applied from top to bottom, provided that mesh sheets overlap by a width of 100 mm;
- It is forbidden to chop off with a spatula the facade corrosion-resistant glass mesh at the corners and at the junctions;
- It is not allowed to press the fiberglass mesh close to the insulation;
- In order to avoid the formation of small cracks and foreign inclusions, excessive leveling of the base plaster layer after reinforcement is prohibited.
Benefits
- Resistant to alkali;
- Provides protection of the plastered outer surface from cracking;
- Reduces stress caused by temperature and humidity fluctuations;
- Increases the mechanical strength of the surface;
