Reinforcing bars class A300 made from hot rolled steel in rods or coils. They are produced with nominal diameters from 10 to 80 mm with a relief surface of a periodic profile. The latter is a cylinder with transverse protrusions running along a helical line, divided by two longitudinal ribs.

Mechanical characteristics of reinforcing steel A-II (A300):

Yield strength — 295 n/mm2.
Temporary tensile strength — 490 n/mm2.
Relative elongation - 19%.
The cold bend angle is 180°.

Calculated values of tensile strength:

longitudinal - 270 n/mm2;
transverse - 215 n/mm2.

A300 class reinforcement is used as a longitudinal (working) and transverse (for anchors and ties) in the production of reinforced concrete products at reinforced concrete factories, in individual and industrial construction. The optimal size for low-rise housing construction when strengthening foundations, gas-block masonry, creating a seismic belt is usually 6-14 mm.

On the surfaces of the rods there should be no cracks, sunsets and other defects. This must be considered before purchasing the material. Each batch is supplied with a certificate, which is also a good idea to familiarize yourself with before buying reinforcing products. It usually contains information about the class, profile number, bending test results, the minimum average value of the steel yield strength and tensile strength with deviations for a given batch. Compliance with these simple rules will allow you to buy high-quality and appropriate products for the project.
